St. Kitts
Fazio in the Indies
On green hills 500 feet above the Caribbean, a new Tom Fazio golf course is under construction on St. Kitts. The golf club is part of the upscale, $500 million Christophe Harbour development being built by Kiawah Development Partners on the island's picturesque southeast peninsula.
In the plans also are two 5-star hotels including a Mandarin Oriental, a mega-yacht marina and village with shops and restaurants, and oceanfront home sites and villas. Home sites range from $500,000 to $3 million; hotel residences at the Mandarin will be offered from $1 million to $5 million.
St. Kitts is hardly more than a long iron from the island of Nevis, home of some fabulous golf at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis.

Ireland
Nicklaus & Pelz at Killeen
On a magical 350 acres of ancient woods on the Killeen Castle Estate, a half-hour from Dublin airport, a brand new 7,600-yard-long Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is a reason to come to Ireland. Installed to top USGA standards, the greens and tees were seeded with a unique blend of grasses, the same as those on Jack's own course in Muirfield, Ohio.
The foremost authority on the short game and putting, Dave Pelz launched his new scoring game school at the castle, the first Pelz academy in Europe.
In time for the 2011 Solheim Cup to be held here, a new, 179 room, 5-star Starwood Luxury Collection hotel will open on the magnificent 600-acre estate, incorporating the restored remains of a 19th century castle. Located in Dunsany, County Meath, the estate has been occupied by a castle since 1180; an ancient abbey, a walled garden and expansive grounds complete the scene in the idyllic Irish countryside.
